brochure and BOOK and beach

Heaven and Hell

A slight re-- working of an older painting. This is from riding next to a storm drain behind a series of faceless new condos in Arcadia. The bottom part is part of a closed of old bridge over the drain. At night even the ordinary condo can look interesting contrasted with something... interesting. ;-)

I should mention the printied cover is darker than this-- this is the ideal...

Book Cover

Just to freshen up this post is a little, this is study 6x8 of a beach comission I'm doing.

Getting this brochure printed up. It's for across the board promotion. A little nicer that a postcard or a business card. I'm using it to promote my one man Show Sept. 22 and my new book. Only two of the images are in the book as it was put together months ago. they will be in the next one though. ;-)

I did the Book with Alberto Ruiz it's the the format of all the other books on his site 48 pages full color, hard cover featuring the work you see right on this blog, see his link for other examples. this is jsut my urban work, no figures. I'm still debating a jacket for it, but if you can't wait you can order the book directly from me by check. It's $26 plus 3 bucks for media rate or six for for priority. California residents add $2.15. I'll be setting up a pay pal account one of these days too. I don't expect to sell out quickly, but there is only 1000 of them. My pal Justin reminded me you can pay me via pay pal using my e- mail--william.wray@verizon.net

Just to let you all know how pay pal works when there isn't a direct buying link (like this situation.) You go to your own pay pal account, look under send money, you have a few choices on how to categorize the transaction and you put my E- mail address. Then I get paid.

Sweet brochure! Money well spent, and I like that you were able to include so many images without seeming cluttered.

Yeah, I agree, these brochures are neat! Bill, did you design them yourself, perhaps in Photoshop, and then get them printed?

aj yes, I put it together using a template from an online printer in photoshop. What's cool is they have a program that shows you the brochure folding so you can see you got it right. If it comes out well I'll plug them.

William, I was just wondering whether you'd ship your book overseas, specifically in my case the UK? If so what should I add as postage cost?

Many thanks and congratulations on the show and the book.

Bill: I think you mentioned once that you paint from photo reference - is that always how you do it, or do you paint on site occasionally? Which do you prefer?

The book looks beautiful and hopefully I can get my hands on a copy!

Ohhh, I really want the new book! I tried to go to the Verizon pay pal link but I don't know how to get your pay pal site once on the general Verizon site. What do I need to do? Should I wait for you to set up the other pay pal? Anyhow, congratulations.

Really want a copy of that book...
order it now, or wait for the word?

will any of your figurative work be in it? (really do like it) or is it all your beautiful decaying urban stuff?

Sorry I've been in and out of the loop lately.
The book thing is exciting--as soon as I get my school finances straightened out, I'd be interested in getting a copy.
In the meantime, I like the new work--the dark rocks look cool among the yellow & blue. It's got a sad-but-hopeful look, like it's 5 o'clock in the mourning.

THat is an AWESOME cover for the book. It catches the eye right away, and only scratches the surface of what one would find inside.

Hi,

I would like to order a book as well (and I hope a copy of the brocure will be inserted). Since I am from the Netherlands, I hope you will work out the overseas shipping cost soon. My guess is a $11 priority envelope will do the trick.
