A 9x12 oil on linen board. A favorite spot just north west from the old Monrovia train station. It was a bit overcast so the light was a little dull.

I think, so long as you keep visiting a trainyard, I'll keep looking at your stuff. Those, and night scenes. I applaud your success in "trespass" art.
I am consitently impressed with the form and light you are able to produce using such a loose technique.
thanks BG I get a cheap thrill going where I'm not supposed to go.
Jessie:
You don't have to be tight, to get the light. ;-)
nice crunchy sky man!!! great panting! i'll be in laguna and san juan all weekend! surfing and hanging with fam - i MAY try to squeeze something out of a tube in the next couple days - time permitting
Nice composition. The distance feels almost like an abstract. Happy BD, BTW!
So Miles your squeezing the tube and shooting the tube?
AW yeah that's my favorite part, must be more loose.
My online copy of the Boheme Magazine just arrived and I see they have published five of your art pieces. They are lovely. I admire your style very much and only wish I could emulate it, but alas, my art skills will never reach that level. Congratulations!
Thanks Jim, for the heads up. You have talent, I wish you were down here I think I could help you to strengthen your foundation.
so i had a painting about half way back from darkening it wrong - going to grab my lunch and move the car and it doesn't start! yes - a digital pic a big grey foreground a jump from my in law FRANK! the tide was dropping FAST so i was struggling with the painting anyway - freezing

Another lovely painting, love the mood!! Can feel the atmosphere of an old train station!
Awesome, Bill. I'm amazed at your output! I can't wait to see your paintings in the flesh later this week ~ I'm thrilled that you're getting the response you want from the public, too.
I usually hate overcast days, but after seeing this I think I love them. This is a beautiful painting, I love the lighting on the train.
