Burn off the 99 +more

Some little ones for the show

Pixky 6x8 oil on linen

99 View 6x8 oil on linen

Due to the economy I'm not doing a lot of big paintings for my Bakersfield museum show but this is an exception. It's 24 x 48 oil on wood. Since the show is entitled 99, I figured I needed at least one simple shot of it.

Looks good, Bill. That's a nice big painting, and it represents the Bakersfield area well. That tree is nicely painted, I like the shape. As a whole, it's almost an abstract painting in it's simplicity.

this painting really shows you know the road to bakersfield .. and back, then back again to bakersfield. it looks like the stretch on the north side of the grapevine. treatment of the pavement nicely done. lots of the picture frame devoted to the road but the paint application makes it all work. horizontal dominance a definite good choice.

Pixky is stunning Bill. Great treatment of the entire surface--you really evoke a lot of atmosphere in this one.
