DRIVE SHE SAID/group show

oil 12x16

This is a quickie I did just before the NY trip to say goodbye to everyone but it didn't dry in time. On the way home from work I saw this aging punk rocker type woman with big pink hair in her old Lincoln or Caddy. The photo didn't show much as it was snapped as she zipped by and took a turn off.

NY was a blast. didn't get in to the Gallery I wanted, (didn't really expect too,) but I feel like my foot is in the door. Saw tons of great art, ate great food, saw old friends and missed some due to time constraints. I'm going to use the artist I like space to post a few pictures I snapped at various museums.

Do have to tell you who is who?

I love the movement in the "Drive She Said" painting. Great colors too. No loss for you on the NY gallery ... but a gig loss for the gallery in New York, they will learn someday that they missed out on one of the best artists in the US!

Welcome home, glad you had a good time, and the gallery thing WILL happen.

Love the diagonals on this, the sense of speed, yellow sky and pavement, orange hood, trunk and car interior with just the streak of turquoise highlight right next to it. Delicious!

O-o-o-h, cool about the show--so close! (But I will have to whine about not being able to attend the opening because I have to work Thursday evenings--no fun!)

Love the car painting Will. Nice you had some good food and visits with friends in NY. Upcoming show poster looks most excellent (in a bill and ted way). Your favorites section on this site is a welcomed addition.
