Trailer #1
Here is the first in a series of trailer paintings. This is the most abstracted one, still not a true abstraction, more of an contemporary/ expressionist / impressionist kind of thing. This is trailer in a trailer park in El Monte. There are mostly fifties era trailers in this park so it was like walking into a time warp. Almost the entire neighborhood behind it as been redeveloped into new apartments and housing. They're a load of empty trailer slots, because the landlord it waiting for the end, a tenant said they were closing next year. I'm glad I found it in time.

I think it is safe to say I am quite keen on your paintings. However, it is a rare occurance when I look at a painting and the first thing I mutter is, "Wow."
Good show.
Rare!?? ;-) Were is your blog anyway?
same place it's always been:
jesseriggle.com/projects
You need to fix your profile, it's not under your blog listing,,,
Sometimes there is no better word than "WOW". I agree with Jesse and Chris...WOW! Great painting!
Once again Bill you've taken a mundane subject, something some people might even classify as ugly and through brushwork, color and light turned it into a work of art! Always love seeing your stuff.
That just might be the most luscious slice of light I've ever seen on canvas...
potentially your most stormy and romantic yet - i give it a COSMIC HELL YES!
It's tough to make all 3 primary colors work together in a painting but you did it here.
thank you Cali, You have so much stuff on your blog it's hard to tell when you don't speak French what you do, I assume you are an artist?
thanks Chris,
I can't get you blog link to work either.
Hey Karen, thanks and I like how you'er concentratrating of local people doing real things. I've have meant to do a lawn guys painting for sometime now,,,
thanks Jan,
You are the blog King! I feel like a loser that I only have 2.
Jeff, Glad you like the taste of my light pie.
Stormy and romantic? Did you break up with your trailer park girl?
Glam,
Did I do that? I wasn't my PRIMARY goal but... thanks!
What a great idea for a series!
I grew up in Temple City, a stones throw from El Monte. This trailer reminds me of long ago, you captured the feel perfectly. Excellent work.

The new 'Abstracts' look great, Bill...
BRAVO, BRAVO!
Definitely a wow painting, my first thought. Can't wait to see what you come up with this week at SLO. I can't wait for the light to return, here! Been here two days, and nothing but gray. The weather man says "sun, tomororw", so I'll have a chance and not look foolish on Friday when I turn in my week's work.
B E A U T I F U L !!!!:O)
The more I look at these paintings the more I like them. YOu definitely captured the twilight!
You're the new Painter of Light! So long Kincaid!
anudder great one!
calling them like i am seeing them man - beauty!
then again i did ride in a caravan down down the entire gold coast of australia...and it was a BLAST!
great painting!
Awesome. I was instantly hit with a prehistoric brick and transported to Bedrock.
This works as a time warp on a few levels.
Then I realized what this actually was, and it's beautiful.
It's a wonder these things exist, even in the numbers they do, given the rate of change.
I like the use of compliments, the colors are great.
A beauty! Great stuff happens when the bright yellow-orange shapes smooches the laid back purple-blue. The perfect couple.
Dean
