Sparrow signing this Saturday

Also here is a total reworking of a painting from '05 called Monrovia Morning. I'm not sure what time of day it is now as I re-did it out of my head.

16x20 oil on Raymar linen panel.

Rolling the dice and winning at re-work Bingo - again.. brave or compelled to do it? I'll go with a combination of both. Unlike watercolor - a re-work in opaque allows some wriggle room (some). Strong visual impact for me Will - the story is clear (at least in my own mind).

This is really good, Bill. The light is wonderful. Looks as though the light is translucent, shining through part of the paint. Like maybe from a huge candlelit window...nah. That's the light guy, not the BLIGHT guy.

Love your brushwork. You use it well to define space and direction. Also, great grays.

Hi Bill,
so nice to have discovered you paintings on your blog. I'm impressed and envious that you could create such a striking painting, "out of your head." It's quite wonderful
